For girls, it’s OK, because they appreciate beauty for its sake, so they can have like shiny things. For gay men too. For heterosexual men, it’s OK if they are artists or designers. Otherwise, no excuse.
PLUS they're freakin' solid. I've had this laptop for two years and haven't had an issue (bli ayin hara). It still moves fast. I've taken it to Israel, New York and Florida, shlepped it around school... they're just solid. I download things without discretion.
I was describing more of Apple mentality, which I found very similar to liberal mentality by observing many of my co-workers. There is certainly a correlation between being a liberal and using Apple, although there may not be a causal connection here (or just causal connection from liberal to Apply, but not vice versa).
My mother has been using the same PC in nine years. All she does is type, listen to music and check her e-mail. It works for her. Of course, it’s no good for hundred other things, but she is not interested in doing them.
I find the same to be true for Apples. If they work for you, they work for you. Unfortunately, they don’t work for me.

I'm not liberal and I use an apple. Just had to say that.
I just had a two-week–long discussion about it.

I love my mac.
Well, I am glad it works for you.

(Plus, most of the stuff I write on this blog — actually, almost everything that’s not Yiddishkeit or Economics — is not very serious.)
